While the majority of the episodes for subtitling and content for translation had reasonable deadlines, some particular movies and TV shows were required to be delivered urgently at specific time frames. As a result, the work volume increased dramatically.

The types of content for subtitling and translation varied, ranging from entertainment to educational and informational. Thus, it required the linguists to be experienced and have specific areas of localization expertise.

Ambiguity of certain phrases or slang from the episodes

Many of the movies and TV programs contained certain American phrases or slang that might be unfamiliar to non-native speakers.

Recruitment and on-boarding of multiple qualified and experienced linguists

In order to ensure timely delivery and meet the client’s deadlines, especially for urgent episodes or during high-demand season, we recruited and on-boarded multiple qualified linguists per language pair.

Develop translation and subtitling guidelines for the project

Quality translation starts with qualified and experienced linguists. To help our linguists perform to the best of their ability, we developed subtitling and translation guidelines for the project. These guidelines provided our linguists with a good understanding of the project, content types, and detailed instructions, all of which ensured the overall quality and consistency of all translation products.

Our ChatBoxⒸ

Communication lies at the heart of our seamless localization process. With this in mind, we developed our own ChatBox, a helpful feature to enable direct communication between our clients and the translation teams. Via this ChatBox, our linguists could request further clarifications on any text that might seem ambiguous; and clients can provide their localization preferences as well. The ChatBox is accessible from both linguists’ and clients’ Dashboard.
