With diverse participants from various countries, the wine-tasting event required a team of 12 interpreters to facilitate effective communication.
Held in upscale hotels each November, this wine-tasting event allows guests to explore the world of wine in an elegant setting, surrounded by rich, unique flavors.
This year, guests sampled over 130 wines from 11 wineries across 7 renowned Portuguese regions. This event promised attendees a memorable experience.
To support this, interpreters need rapid language processing skills and a strong understanding of wine, especially when handling wine-specific inquiries.
For example, interpreters must be familiar with wine terminology and pouring techniques.
We rigorously assessed candidates’ language skills and non-verbal communication abilities.
After selection, interpreters underwent specialized training to prepare for the event’s unique demands. Our interpreters adhered to a specific dress code, upholding the company’s professionalism.
